Chapter 20: SCARY MIDNIGHT
"He is so cute!" Joy said while pinching the baby's cheek softly.
Joy and Cedric visited her family after school to check on the baby that Sarah told her on the phone.
"Did you try to look for the parents of the baby?" Cedric asked.
"Yes. We already posted his photo's in social media and we also ask the police station if someone reported for a missing baby, but we don't have any information yet." Sarah replied.
"At least, his photos got tons of likes and reactions!" Peach added.
Then she gets her phone and started taking more photos of the baby.
"May be I should make a page for him… This baby could go viral!!" Peach said with twinkling eyes.
They all agreed to look for the parents of the baby at the city, while the baby was left on Ian and Roe's care.
"You look like, the baby will eat you Roe! Ahaha!" Ian teases Roe.
"I can feel it!... He is not an ordinary baby!" Roe said while hiding inside one of the drawers beside the bed.
"He looks normal to me." Ian replied.
The baby is fast asleep when Mina came inside Ian's room.
"Ian, your Kuya Khay was looking for you downstairs." Mina said.
"Ok mama… I'll be back shortly, Roe." Ian said, then he run down the stairs.
"Make it faster, Ian!" Roe shouted.
"Roe, you are feeling it too right?" Mina looked closer to the baby.
"Y – Yes! I think he is from the Underworld." Roe replied.
Mina tried to touch the baby but he wakes up and suddenly he transformed into a scary Tiyanak.
Mina already know that the baby is a Tiyanak but she doesn't know that he is Asediya, one of the Deadly Sins.
"Hush Tiyanak. Don't be scared… You can stay here if you like. We will not hurt you." Mina said to the Tyanak.
"We will not hurt him, but he could hurt us!?" Roe complains.
At the door, Ian saw Khay and greets him.
"What is it, Kuya Khay?" Ian asked while Khay is giving him a paper bag.
"That is your reviewers for the examinations next week. My mom asked me to give that to you so you can still review while on detention." Khay explained.
"Thanks Kuya Khay. Also, please tell Aunt Yuriko I'm sorry, for what I did was wrong." Ian said.
"That's cool little Bro… By the way where is your Ate Peach?" Khay asked while looking around for Peach.
"My big sisters are out in the City looking for the parents of the baby." Ian replied.
After that, Ian went back to his room and saw her mother playing with the baby.
"Did you wake him up Mama" Ian asked.
"Sorry, Ian. I just wanted to carry him… Did you already give him a name?" Mina said.
"I call him Ace." Ian replied.
"That is a nice name!... Right Baby Ace!?" Mina said while lifting the baby up and laughing.
"Where is Roe?" Ian looked at the drawer where he last saw Roe and found her sleeping in it.
After few hours, the triplets and Cedric came back after searching the City.
"That's strange… I think no one was looking for the baby." Sarah said.
"You don't have to look for his parents anymore! We can keep Baby Ace as part of our family!" Mina said smiling while playing with the baby.
Joy noticed a weird mark on her mother's neck.
"Mama, what happened to your neck?" Joy asked.
"That's – That's nothing! May be a mosquito bites me then I scratched it unintentionally." Mina replied.
After they eat dinner, Joy and Cedric said goodbye and went on their way home.
Sarah, Peach, and Ian noticed that their mother Mina was getting more attached to the baby.
Mina never leaves Baby Ace and always carry him around and then Roe was still sleeping until now.
"May be Mama just miss taking care of a cute baby." Peach said.
Then the next day, Mina told Kira not to open the Eatery.
Every day that passes by, the Malaya siblings are getting more worried about their mother and Roe.
Roe is still sleeping and Mina don't even want to let go of the baby for a second.
One midnight while they are sleeping, Sarah wakes up hearing some scratching sounds at the cabinets.
She got up of the bed and open the lights quietly.
Sarah walked closer at the cabinet and slowly opens it…
*WAAAAAAAHHHH* Something small and red jumps on her.
"TA – TIYANAK!!!" Sarah shouted.
Peach suddenly wakes up and was surprised to see a Tiyanak attacking Sarah and trying to bite her.
"Ate Sarah, use your power!" Peach said.
Sarah made the Tiyanak float, then Peach suddenly transformed into Wind Guardian and shoots the Tyanak with the Wind arrow.
Asediya was wounded and he quickly ran on Mina's room
"WHAT'S HAPPENING??" Ian also wakes up after hearing loud noises.
"There's a Tiyanak inside the house and he ran on Mama's room." Sarah said while catching her breath.
They all went to their mother's room and slowly opens the door, but Mina is not on her bed.
"Mama?" Peach.
"I think there's no one here." Ian said.
*SHATTERS* Suddenly they heard a sound of shattered plates.
"At the kitchen." Sarah whispered. Then they all went down at the kitchen.
Mina was picking the broken plates when they found her.
"Mama… Be careful, there's a Tiyanak inside the…" Sarah warned her mother but in her surprise, Mina laughed creepily while pointing a piece of the broken plate on her neck.
"DON'T COME CLOSER! OR I WILL KILL MYSELF!!! AHAHAHAHA!" Mina shouted.
"No, Mama! DON'T!!" Peach said stopping her mother with what she wants to do to herself.
"The TIYANAK! He is at Mama's back!" Ian pointed.
"GIVE ME THE TALISMAN OR I WILL KILL YOUR MOTHER!" Asediya demanded.
Peach looked at Sarah asking what to do, then Sarah just nodded to her.
Peach transformed back to human form and she put the Wind Talisman at the table in front of them.
As soon as Asediya leaves Mina's back, Ian opened a portal under Mina's feet and another portal beside him where Mina came out.
Then Sarah uses her power to stop Asediya for getting the Talisman and then throws him outside of the window.
Peach and Sarah tried to look for the Tiyanak outside the house but he was already gone.
Asediya went back to their fortress wounded and weak.
"Oh! You finally came back!" Inbidiya said.
"Did you find the new Guardians?" Abarisya asked with a scary voice.
"Yes. And I have discovered something that the Queen Superbia would definitely want to know." Asediya said with a scary smile on his face.
