It has been a month since I became a baggage carrier or in simplier terms a supporter in Selia's party.

"Hurry up!, you're dragging us down again", said by the leader of the party, Butch C-rank Item:Sword Type:Fire.

"Coming! ughhh, Rye apologized carrying the baggage of loot and supplies good for a day's worth of trip.

Adventurers gain xp and skill increase as they fight and use their items hunting monsters. Our common tracks are from E .to D territory of the surface.

I gain small to nothing xp for carrying stuff and used as bait for some days. Agility won't do the trick as do not meet a decent meal.

The reward is portioned smaller than the rest of the party so a proper meal is close to null. Having no choice, I saved weeks worth of dinner to buy a sword commonly used as props. Due to the schedule of the party, I go alone at night at E-territory hunting small side quests just to eat and survive another day.

(next day)

"Ryu lets do our best today, okay, Selia stated.

"Yah baggage boy, we are going even further of the territory close to the C. We gonna need a bait, so save your energy for later. Butch arrogantly said.

"I will do my best, Ryu replied with a sigh.

This is okay right, Ryu thought.

I have to decline Selia, I got some things to do today. I congratulate you all for your improvements, Ryu sadly replied as he goes the other way.

(nighttime at E territory)

I have to try harder or I will fall behind from the group, Ryu thought as he walks towards to D territory. The monsters there will take longer to kill (boars and snakes). I took this quest out of desperation and yet I still failed to see one.

Ryu witness a creature not supposedly in the D territory. An offspring of the great serpent playing its food. Ripping the rest of the injured boars crushing even the piglet

Ryu frozed out of fear more than ever. As he moved back and run as hard. The serpent notices Ryu and dropped the boar.

Ryu ran and the serpent follows.

He gain some distance with agility, yet the fatique of the todays party kicked in. He hid behind a tree. catching his breath and looking back he saw the eyes of the snake behind the tree.

Ryu panicked as rhe snake tried to gulp him.

It tried to used its tail to stab Ryu. Agility kicks in for Ryu. Yet he tripped and the snake landed a side tail wip to him.

*to the ground his stuff left in front of him

in front of him his kerchief and sword.

Ahhhh, Ryu desperately charge attack the serpent at the belly.

With the eyes lost to despair as his sword cracked at impact.

Snake used tail wip sent Ryu falling at a tree near his kerchief.

He grabbed his kerchief as the serpent grabbed his foot and bumps him into the ground

Then the serpent release Ryu with his kerchief to the air and ate Ryu whole.

Ryu stopped at the throat of the serpent gulping its meal down, yet Ryu struggles to hold his kerchief from the inside.

Am I gonna die?, Ryu thought as he continue to hold his ground.

An adventurer weaponless died at a belly of a serpent, sounds right. Idk why this thing is here, but nothing matters now.

As the moisture and small drops n venom touched Ryu skin. His kerchief started to grow up to the size of him.

And as the snake inhales, the kerchief vlocked its airway then the serpent snapped and struggles.

Moving from side to side alarming Ryu and grabbed his kerchief inside of the beast.

the serpent struggle moved and bumps to the ground and nearby trees to crush Ryu inside. Ryu persists for his life.

Just die to b* snake, Ryu cried for life,

For once, kerchief does something, live!-

For much time, the serpent stopped and collapse to the ground
