The students and the nobles who's spectating the match were shocked. The boy who should have died from the lightning orb of Drynth Kokabiel, was still standing there, unscathed.

But they were more shocked when black mist began to cover Drynth. Using forbidden magic to defeat a half-blood meant that he acknowledged the power of the jet-black haired boy.

“Yggrasd!"

Black lightning then traveled to the jet-black haired boy then exploded upon reaching his body.

Yggrasd, the forbidden black lightning that is said to even destroy a whole squad of angels, neglecting their barriers. Its temperature reaches about a thousand degrees Celsius and enough to create an explosion that can wipe out an entire village.

Shockwaves from the explosion blew away some of the weaker students that were near the battleground. Crackling sounds of lightning still remained.

'That should do it, nobody can es—WHAT!? '

Drynth, the students, and even the demon nobles were literally shocked.

When the smoke and dusts began to clear up, the boy who should've died or even obliterated, was standing there, unscathed.

"How can he survive that?" "Is he even a half-blood?" "That's impossible!"

The audiences spouted words that could only explain what they feel after seeing the boy.

"Well, that was a splendid magic, I shall commend you for that."

The boy genuinely said his honest feelings.

"How?... How can you even survive a forbidden magic!?"

Drynth shouted in despair. He couldn't contain his feelings anymore.

"Well, I'll tell you. Your lightning is so weak that your power and existence is a complete joke. You’ve already used a forbidden magic and yet, it didn’t even scratch me. All of you demons here… all of you have weaken.”

Saying those words, his right eye glowed blue. The spectators were stunned, some screamed, the others remained silent.

Of course that’s to be expected, he just mocked the demon race. But..

He then fixed his uniform and stretched out his arms.

"I'll show you the real lightning."

A chill ran through Drynth's spine, he knew that his opponent is gonna attack for the first time.

The jet-black haired boy didn’t attacked since the very start, he just made a flashy entrance and then stood on the arena itself. The one doing the offense all this time was only Drynth.

The jet-black haired boy then created an orb that is similar to what Drynth made. The red eye of the boy started to glow and the orb contained a tinge of redness. Black lightning started to erupt from the orb.

Judging from someone who is very sensitive to auras, the orb itself is so dense that it may even wipe out an entire domain that is governed by demon lords.

Upon seeing this, Drynth started to pour all of his power on creating multiple barriers.

"Make sure your barrier is strong enough. Then I'll be launching this—"

The boy then launched the orb at the speed of light and then—

A large explosion erupted, loud crackling sounds can be heard and a shockwave that is far superior than the first ones started to run through the arena and beyond.

The barrier protecting the spectators broke and some were thrown away. Other demons created barriers but it didn't hold out and broke as well.

"Did I go too easy on him?"

The boy said.

From where Drynth was originally standing, a crater larger and deeper was now present.

There were some cracks on the walls of the arena, but the battleground was broken to the point of needing repair.

On the wall, filled with burns and wounds, Drynth was lying dead. The nobles were shocked, that a half-blood actually killed a noble but they were even more shocked that he almost destroyed the arena.

"Examinee Drynth Kokabiel, confirmed, dead."

The boy won. Only using the same orb, he acquired victory.

"H-How...?" "Impossible!" "A half-blood.. killing.. a noble?"

The spectators were stunned.

The boy then approached the dead Drynth and lightly touched its forehead.

A faint light green light glowed on his hand.

"Mangri"

After saying the word, the wounds and burns of Drynth then started to heal. His uniform was in tatters but can still cover most of his body.

Then a crest with a beast with two large husks that glows a deep crimson red, and 3 pairs of wings that glows with the color blue, and on top of its head, a golden crown of thorns was present.

"That crest... It resembles.."

One of the spectators spoke. Knowing that he will get questioned, the boy answered.

"It's as you know but speak about it and it will haunt you."

He glared at the middle aged man while his blue eye was glowing.

The man, knowing that he will be in trouble did not pursue it any further.

Drynth then opened his eyes and started breathing, seeing the situation, the jet-black haired boy then deactivated his magic and stood up.

"You're an interesting fella, challenge me again once you get stronger."

"No, never again."

He quickly refused. Knowing that he's no match he stood up and he reached his hands for a handshake, which is gladly accepted by the boy.

"I'm gonna work for you in the future. Achieve your goals, master."

Saying that he crouched down and bowed. The boy then smiled and reached his hands to Drynth's head.

His hands glowed a red color and then the body of Drynth himself, glowed the same color.

"Well, if you're gonna be my subordinate in this era, I shall hand out some powers to you."

The glowing light then faded and Drynth himself could not believe his eyes.

His magic power skyrocketed five times.

"I gave you powers necessary to be called my subordinate, now hone your skills."

The boy said in a slightly gentle manner. Hearing that, the audience gasped, some were even shocked.

"Then I shall live up to your expectation, master."

"Good"

"I will start my training now. Take care, my master."

Drynth pledged his loyalty and then left.

The witnesses still can't stomach what happened.

It was the first time, a demon noble, pledged loyalty to a hybrid.

Upon teleporting back to the individual waiting area, he chuckled.

"Can't believe that I went too far even though I used less than 1% of my power."

Muttering that to himself, he relaxed and slouched on the sofa.

The dim light of the lantern gave him a relaxing feeling and made him calm.

"Hmm... Drynth Kokabiel, huh.."

He then stared at the ceiling and waited for the next exam.

Another hour passed and they were off to the next exam, which is the count of their mana and identifying the class they are in.

The called 'class' is what refers to their capability and the amount of mana. Currently there were only 10 students to reach the Demon King class in the academy, which is the highest on their scale.

Transcendental is the highest class one can go, followed by Legendary which involves Heroes, Dragons and other mythical beings.

God class is the third highest which involves some of the most powerful leaders.

Demon King class are, as stated, beings that are on par with the Demon Kings, Archangels are also included in this too.

Demon Lord class is known for mainly, the Pillar Families of Hell, and other beings that were above their race.

Next is the High class beings which is home for the nobles, and powerful demons.

Next is the mid class where you can find most of the families and also where the relatives of the pillar family are.

Lastly, the low class, where you can find some reincarnated beings who lost their powers and also half-bloods or hybrids.

They were then called to the Secretary's office where they are going to be measured.

The office is spacious, there are also bookshelves on every corner of the room that are filled with books and documents.

The desk of the secretary looks quite old but well maintained. There were also some unfinished paperwork on top of it.

In the middle of the room, a stand made of wood was present. In it was a crystal ball with a base of gold supporting it.

The ten new students lined up horizontally. Six females and four males passed the practical exam.

The first to be measured was a female with silver hair paired with pale skin and gray eyes.

She lay her hands on the orb and it started glowing.

"Demon Lord class, 2,558,932"

The orb spoke the class of the girl then stated the mana value.

She was then followed by the other students. There were 5 mid class, 3 high class and 1 demon lord class.

The last to be examined was the jet-black haired boy.

He approached the orb and lay his fingers. The orb then glowed a red and black color. The secretary could not believe her eyes.

The orb then spoke.

"Unknown class, mana count can't be determined. Hypothesis: Above Demon King class.”

After the orb spoke, it exploded. Everybody gasped.

Nobody can't believe what happened, even the secretary who has been working for hundreds of years.

She then decided to put him in the Demon King class.

Nobody can believe it. A half-blood, above demon king class. It was just not possible.

He was then granted an obsidian-black color badge that showed his class.

After that, they were dismissed and everybody went home.

There were questions in their mind but they can't actually ask it. They are scared of learning and pursuing the existence of the boy further.

Before teleporting back, he glanced at the obsidian-black badge that he got.
