Chapter 6: Nearing the ending

“Hey, Henry! Stop spacing out!” (Justin)

“Ah sorry, my bad” (Henry)

It was Saturday, 
and as promised the two of us went shopping for his clothes to be used tomorrow, 
I kinda invited Anne as well but that girl said something about 
watching her favorite vtuber’s last moment 
cause they are graduating or something.

“It’s fine, you’ve been spacing out this 
whole time is it something the matter?” (Justin)

“Hey, Justin have you been into Netorare recently?” (Henry)

“Neto? What’s that, some kind of website?” (Justin)

As expected, Justin has no idea what it is.
 He might be hiding it but not as I see the clueless look on his face. 
Then, the things above his head right 
now are not his favorite genre currently.

“No, it’s nothing never mind” (Henry)

“Alright, Thanks for accompanying me this time buddy, 
I was really anxious on how I’m gonna look like tomorrow” (Justin)

“Oh? So you are aware of your terrible fashion sense?” (Henry)

“Well after you, Anne, and well almost everyone from my class points it out, 
how could I not?” (Justin)

“You better thank us for it!” (Henry)

“Yes yes thank you very much, oh wise one” (Justin)

He says sarcastically, we are on our way home now.
 Justin bought clothes and I did buy some things too. 
We are almost the intersection where we go our separate way.

“By the way, Justin..” (Henry) 

“Yeah?” (Justin)
“Uhh, Good luck on your date bud,” (Henry)

“Hahaha, what’s with you?” (Justin)

After saying so, Justin went on his way.
 As for me, I just stood in my place for a minute;
 I can’t bring to say it. 
That his girlfriend might be cheating on her. 
The other day, I found the male lead. 

It was Justin’s basketball coach. Mr. Edward Garcia. 
He is a physical education instructor of the school
 and in charge of the men’s basketball club. 
There are a lot of rumors regarding about him
 sexually harassing not only female students but also female teachers as well.
 But he is favored by the management because of his skills in basketball. 
Apparently he was scouted to be an instructor by the school.
 As for Mr. Edward genre, it’s like this when I first saw it:

It was no mistake, 
it was similar to Haley and Justin’s genre, 
the only difference is that Participated part with question mark all over it.
 Then yesterday after noon,
 I tried to get in contact with Mr. Edward when he called Haley, 
but I failed to be with the two cause a teacher passed by and made me carry stuff 
for her. What’s worse is that it took a while
 because I was sent to an errand one after another.

When I was finished and tried to return to where Haley and Mr. Edward are,
 I saw Haley away from the gym looking tired.
 If I remember the cheerleading squad doesn’t have practice that day.
 Upon looking at Haley’s genre that time it was:

And today, after seeing of Justin,
 I once again checked his genre.
 Throughout the day, 
nothing changed and it still the same 40/50 pages.
 Just 10 more pages and maybe, 
Justin will get released from this stupid genre that he has.

It was what I was thinking, 
and the next day around 8pm. 
Justin messaged me and thanked me for accompanying him; 
it would seem like their date was a success.
 He said both of them had fun. 
That’s good, maybe he got out of that genre.

I got a good night sleep thinking that it was over,
 but I didn’t know the worst has yet to come back then.

Now after recalling everything that had 
happened so far I tried to calm myself down.
  I have to check on Justin’s condition; 
before I got home I asked the teachers which
 hospital Justin was admitted to so I have to visit him soon.
 I remembered that mom and dad had departed to their business trip, 
I at least have to tell my little sister that I will be going out,
 so I waited for her return.

I got up of the bed and took out the Justin’s phone from my bag,
 there is no mistake. 
It’s Haley and Mr. Edward;
 these two are the cause of Justin’s demise.
 By then something unnatural occurred, in my bag a dim light was being emitted.
 I opened the pouch where the source of light was coming from.
 I didn’t know it had a glow in a dark function,
 so I unconsciously picked it up to check.
 The moment I did that, words came floating in front of me.

“The story is yet to end.” 

 I was shocked at what I’m seeing
 but I managed to keep my calm,
 I’ve seen words floating above people’s head
 all the time but that doesn’t matter,
 is the story that its saying is Justin’s?

Right, after Justin fell from the rooftop I saw his genre.

45 out of 50, it’s still not finished! 
And as soon as I taught of what is going to happen next the text changed.

“Do you wish to see the end?”

What? Is it telling me that I can look at the ending, 
I don’t know what the catch is,
 but if it’s saying that it can do it; 
then I have no reason to refuse.
 I want to see the ending.

Just then, the text disappeared, 
the fountain pen that I was holding floated out of my hand,
 it shined and one by one, pages appeared. 
A comic was made titled “Cheerleader’s graceful fall”.
 Every event that happened between Haley and Mr. Edward was there, 
I skimmed so that I would read what the ending would be and saw, 
Haley and Mr. Edward doing the deed in front of Justin’s injured body,
 after they finished, Justin’s vital sign monitor indicated his death.

The pages disappeared right after, 
I was left speechless,
 if this is what’s going to happen;
 then my best friend will die.

 Despair run through my body,
 Couldn’t I save him? 
Is there a way for him to get release from this sick joke!

I was getting angry; 
I don’t know what to do,
 at this rate even on his death Justin will suffer because of those animals!
 Is there something! Anything!?

I grabbed the floating fountain pen,
 I don’t know if it has magic or what,
 I wished strongly to it if it can do something about this situation.

 “Do you wish to rewrite the plot?”

This words floated in front of me,
 rewrite the plot,
 does it mean change Justin’s story? Then if that is the case.

 “Yes” (Henry)
