Chapter 3: Changes that is occurring

I arrive at school ahead of time since I want to check on Justin’s genre 
but it looks like he will be late because he was up all night talking 
with his new girlfriend and redoing his clay art thing.

 It’s still about half an hour before homeroom starts, 
my other classmates are coming in one after another.
Suddenly someone blocked my eyes from behind.

“Who is it?”
The voice of a girl said from behind me,
 there is only one person in the class who I know that could try this to me, 
and it’s my annoying classmate Anne.

“Stop it, Anne; get your hands off me!” (Henry)

“You sure are on the edge aren’t you, Henry?” (Anne)

“It’s nothing wait what’s with your appearance?” (Henry)

She usually is sloppy with her looks but today she is much sloppier than before, 
you didn’t even fix your bed hair you know?
 Shouldn’t girls be fuzzy about what they look?

“Ah, I actually stayed up late at night watching anime and playing games 
that messed up with my sense of time.
 I thought I was going to be late so I hurried over to school.” (Anne)

She laughed or more like you stayed up late again huh.
Anne really likes playing games and stuff that she puts her all in her 
hobbies and tends to forget about herself, 
I looked at her genre and it’s the same as ever,
 Slice of life, comedy, drama, romance.

Anne then began wobbling for a second.

“Hey are you okay?” (Henry)

“I am, just a little dizzy from all the sleepless nights that I have.” (Anne)

Anne sat down on her seat and rests her head on the table soon after
 I can hear her softly snoring. 
Well that’s fine it’s going to be quite if she sleeps. 
Ah I forgot to ask her if she knew about the genre Justin has.

A little while more and our teacher arrived,
 and sure enough Anne got in trouble because she was sleeping in class.
She glared at my direction and I can feel she was saying something like 
“Why didn’t you wake me up?!”

Well you didn’t ask me to and also 
this is payback for the times you annoyed me 
during lecture and got me into trouble too.

In the end Anne got permission to go to the infirmary and
 I got through the first half of the day with peace.

Break time came and I decided to check up on Justin to see 
if there is any changes so I went to his classroom, 
unfortunately he wasn’t there so I asked his classmates 
and I was told that he dash out once break was done.

Since I don’t know where he is I just went to the cafeteria to 
buy something for me and Anne to eat, 
upon arriving I saw Justin with Haley sitting down and talking,
 they seem to be having fun so I won’t interrupt them.
For now I checked Justin’s genre.

It didn’t change, 
no wait, actually it did. 
The pages went up, what does it mean?
So it didn’t return to its former genre huh?
 then I caught a glimpse of Haley’s genre too.

Huh? Haley’s genre also changed?
 Since when? No before that,
why is it that Haley is the female lead 
while Justin is just a side character?
 Shouldn’t Justin be the main lead?

Questions pop up one after another, 
I know what I’m seeing is not normal 
but this sudden change isn’t helping one bit.

Damn it, I still have no clue about what I’m seeing
 but all I know is that it’s a genre or something. 
If that’s the case I should really talk to her. 
With questions still left unanswered 
I went to the infirmary to check on my classmate.

Once I opened the room to the infirmary 
I saw Anne sitting on the bed.

“Oh Henry, you came to check up on me?” (Anne)

“Yeah, from the looks of it you haven’t eaten breakfast from dashing here right? 
Here I brought this for you.” (Henry)

I handed Anne a bag of bread and a juice so she could eat.

“Thank you! I was really starving; 
I forgot to eat because I was playing Apex Mobile.
 No wonder I feel weak.” (Anne)

“You really don’t slowdown when it comes to the things you like huh?” (Henry)

“Of course, my hobby takes priority after all!” (Anne)

“Take care of yourself first, idiot” (Henry)

I gave Anne a head chop, 
after that she gobbled up the bread I gave her, like Justin,
 Anne is also one of my childhood friends and the very first friend I had. 
My parents and her parents are close friends
 when they were young so every time they meet up,
 so does the two of us.

Anne Hernandez, 
despite her sloppy look right now, she’s really cute, 
if she is well prepared at least.
 She used to be a prim and proper girl back then,
 although she changed once she found out a hobby, 
she didn’t stop teasing and annoying me from time to time.

 I remember her saying that, 
because of her family’s position it was kind of stiffening 
for her to always be a proper girl in front of 
the others just for the sake of her family’s appearance. 
So she decided that when she is not in the spotlight she will dress how she wants.

“What’s wrong, you’ve been staring at me for quite some time now? 
Is something the matter?” (Anne)

“Ah no, my bad there’s something that I want to ask you about.” (Henry)

“Hmm? Are you gonna ask about my three sizes?” (Anne)

“No not that, It didn’t change anyway.” (Henry)

“Wha-, how did you know that!?” (Anne)

“So it really didn’t change, huh?” (Henry)

“Argh, whatever so what did you want to ask me about?” (Anne)

“Yeah so, do you know Netorare?” (Henry)

After saying that Anne dropped the Juice box she was sipping at and stared at me with eyes wide open.

“Henry, are you into that kind of play?” (Anne)

Huh? Did I say something wrong?
