Walking on the side of a road a teenage boy with jet black hair that was wearing a black Blazer pared with dark grey pants, he appears to be a student and was walking straight towards a huge entrance.

There were two security guards that were stationed at the entrance and were checking every student’s ID upon entering the schools property, after seeing that he stood there and waited for one of them to check on his identification.

“Are you new here young lad?”

One of the guards questioned the boy after seeing him approach the entrance; the guard looked like he was above fifty years old and had a not so large body.

Judging from his question, the boy wasn’t a regular student at the school.

“Ah, yes, I’m a new transfer student here starting today.” Quickly replied by the boy.

“Is that so, can we see your identification?”

“Yes, here it is.”

The boy showed his phone and a status of his personal info was written on the ID imprinted on his phone.

“So your name is “Mirai Yuu” from “Class S2”, we’ll be careful not getting lost on your way young lad, Oh right and here take this with you, you might get hungry on your way there since it’s still this early.”

The guard that talked to him gave him a piece of bread that was inside a paper bag on his desk.

Having no intention of denying his kindness the boy humbly accepted the bread given to him.

“Thank you for your consideration I’ll be sure to repay you some day.”

“No need, just do your job properly as a student here.” The man replied with a smile on his face.

“Yes!”

He waved his right hand at the guard’s as he walks inside the compound of the school with a big smile on his face, seeing that the man smiled back at him.

“Sir Robert, why did you give him some of your lunch?”

After seeing his actions one of the guard that was stationed with him asked him, why did he gave the boy a bread that was supposed to be his lunch.

“I don’t know if he remembers, but that boy was so gloomy when we first met, and now looking at his face makes all that effort on saving him worth it.”

The man was remembering something within the past that only he knows so hearing that the other guard was a bit confused at his reply.

“What are you saying sir?”

“It’s nothing, just an old memory of mine.”

The old man looked at the sky, remembered the boy’s face when they first met looks that had lost hope in tomorrow and was on the verge of collapsing seeing his face now wiped out the worry of the old man and just smiled.

“…Yeah just an old memory…”

After passing through the entrance Yuu walked around the campus grounds only to find out how wide the space inside the school ground is, he proceeded on looking around seeing many students walking and talking around the place, however one certain student caught his attention.

This student was a girl with the same uniform as every girl student around; she was staring up on the sky and looked like day dreaming.

There’s no particular reason why he was gazing at her, but something about her seem to have caught his attention.

The girl had long Yellow hair and was wearing a black eye patch on her right eye with some kind of symbol imbedded on it.

“…Hnmm…?”

After a momentary pause the girl looked back down to the school ground only to find a boy looking at her direction.

“Uh…”

After the girl noticed him at the side she looked straight at him meeting his eyes gaze, realizing this he then quickly evaded his eyes and looked the other way, but out of curiosity he took another peak back at the girl only to be surprised.

“…Huh? Where did she go?”

Returning his sights at the location of the female student, he was surprised to know that the girl that was there isn’t to be found anymore.

“Are you looking for me?”

A feminine voice suddenly came from behind him out of nowhere.

“Waa!?”

Looking at the direction of the voice he was surprise to see the girl earlier that was standing in front of him now appears to be behind him.

(…When did she approach me, I didn’t feel her presence at all…) thought of the boy that was surprised at her sudden appearance.

The girl that he saw at the far side of the grass near his location now has suddenly appeared behind him making him jump back a little by reflex.

Sort of flustered due to him remembering her face up-close earlier he gathered his composure and let out a deep breath then talked to her.

“I’m sorry about that, Ah! But I’m not a suspicious person or anything.”

Quick as it may have been of him to explain, however his choice of words were poorly pick.

“You do know all suspicious people say that line right?” she puts her index finger at her chin as she replies with an expressionless look on her face.

“EH?” Yuu responded with a rather amusing look on his face unpleasant sweat appears on his face after hearing her response.

“It’s a joke…”

“…O-Oh…”

The girl tilted her head a little to the side after revealing what she told was just a mere joke, yet the confusion on Yuu’s face clearly shows that he has yet to understand since looking at her quite expressionless look, he can’t tell if she was serious on it being a joke or not.

Seeing his expression the girl was kind worried at it, yet she still wore the same expressionless look on her face.

“Was the joke bad?” asked by her.

Thinking on a way he could tell without hurting her feeling Yuu chooses his next words wisely.

“Well not that… but, rather you don’t show much of an expression to back it up.” Said by him while playfully scratching his cheek.

“Is that so, how complicated.” She responded back while looking at the field of grass.

Seeing her distant look he felt like he had to say something or rather he wanted to say something, yet the thought of it having the opposite effect made him open and close his mouth several times before finally speaking.

“Wh-Well anyway, it’s my fault for being suspicious in the first place.”

While saying those words he can’t seem to calm down and was constantly moving his eyeballs around the place as if he was waiting to see if how she would react.

“Is that so…” she looked back at him in reply.

“Yeah, anyway I know it’s kind of rude of me to ask since we just met but can you guide me to a certain class room, I’m kind of new to this school so I don’t know where certain facilities are yet.”

As embarrassing as it may be, he had nothing to hide in that situation, so having to ask her about his situation was his only option at that time.

“I don’t mind.”

“Really thanks so umm…?”

Wanting to thank her made him realize that he had yet to know of the girl’s name.

“Himekawa Natsumi”, my family name is written in “Kanji” “姫川that has a meaning of “River” in it, and my first name is written like “夏海can be read like this to “summer, sea”, what about you what’s your name?”

The girl described her name and told him about its meaning and so forth, as to her name she was no doubt a girl born from Japan.

But one lie was told at that moment; her having not known of the boy’s name was untrue because he was her target.

“Yuu Mirai, technically my name doesn’t consist of letters used on your country since I’m not from Japan.”

His name was undoubtedly sounded like a name you would hear as a name of a Japanese people yet he clearly stated that his name was just described at that without if having any ties to her country.

“Is that so, even though your name sounds like a Japanese name?”

Hearing her say that his name resembles that of a Japanese name, his expression turned into a sour smile and looked downward.

“Well I’d rather not talk about it right now.”

Having heard that the girl somehow understood him and didn’t quite ask about it.

“Is that so, how complicated.”

Yet something about his response gave off a bit of curiosity to the girl yet her expressionless look hid that thought from him.

“Ahaha, it is rather complicated … after brushing it off with a small laughter he then proceeded to his favor to the girl. Well my name aside, I wanted to go to “Class 2S” do you know that classroom?”

“No problem, since that’s where my classroom is as well.”

After saying those words they began to walk towards the school building.

“Oh, so were classmates then.”

She nodded in response, and then she gave him a suggestion about her name.

“You can call me Natsumi no honorific is fine.”

Hearing those words made him give a pleasant smile, knowing that he had met someone who he could talk to at class.

“Then you can call me by my name as well Natsumi.”

Natsumi just nodded in response to him.

“Ok, Yuu.”

After that they proceeded to walk towards the direction of the school building, since its Yuu’s first time having a new friend he followed Natsumi while walking besides her.

At most the two of them had just met, but the fact that Natsumi had already known of his name and all yet she still pretended not to; do to the fact that the person known as Yuu Mirai was a target to her, yet he had thought the girl Natsumi as his friend.
