Birds are chirping in the sky and the aroma of the blooming flowers fills the lungs— it was a beautiful Monday morning.
"I can do this, it's just the first day of school... ahh, I am so nervous!" a young man in his school uniform said.
The young man was Josh Morden. He's a pretty normal student who is very fortunate to have an average look and intellect. As a result, he enjoyed his Junior high school like any other of his age. He had a circle of friends, relationships, and good grades. Although his family is a little bit tight financially, they can still eat 3x a day. For them, it was enough.
"Hey! Remember me?" said a tall relatively fat guy as he waved his hand in Josh's direction.
"huh? me?" Josh replied.
"Yeah! We met on the enrollment last time. I can't believe we really are classmates!"
Despite what the fat guy said, Josh couldn't help but stare at him. He couldn't remember him at all.
All he could see is a fat guy trying to talk to him despite the fact that they have never met before carrying a heavy-looking bag on his back. A naive thought cross his mind.
He probably mistook me for someone else or maybe... he just wants to be friends.
"You may be wrong, I have no—"
What...?
Before Josh could even finish his words, the fat guy tightly grabbed his hands and put them on his back while pinning him down on the ground.
He could sense the man smiling on his back.
"Hey! Please help me, this guy is killing me."
"Somebody"
"Anybody"
He tried to scream but could not. He desperately called the attention of everyone but it was as if they could not hear him— as if he didn't exist.
Then, suddenly, the weight of the wicked fat guy suddenly disappeared.
When he looked up, he saw a beautiful young lady offering her hands to him.
Hi instinctively reach her hand and suddenly— he grabbed air.
Josh woke up in the middle of his room with his hands up in the air. That's right, it was all a dream.
He looked around and saw mounts of his dirty clothes, empty chip bags, and crumpled tissue paper.
Habitually, he reaches out for his phone that was supposed to be on the top of his bed. It had always been the case since he started throwing his life by playing games all day.
As his hands explored the bed for the phone, he couldn't feel anything. The usual spot where he put his phone before he sleeps was empty.
It can't be. I knew it was here. It should be here, he thought.
However, the reality was it wasn't there. There was nothing there.
He got up from the bed and tried to look for it with his eyes now open not just by feeling it with his hands —but it was in vain.
There's no phone on his bed, just crumbs of chips that were there for God know how long.
He was starting to panic and became anxious. Feeling the need to calm down his system, he was getting anxious more than ever. He needs his phone, right here, right now, or else he'll break down and remember all the feelings that he was distracting himself from.
bzzz... bzzzz....
It was his morning alarm.
The joy on his face cannot be painted as he immediately rushes in the direction of the sound.
As he briskly walk to find the phone, he stepped on one of his dirty clothes making him roll seven times before he stopped or was stopped....?
He looked up to see what made him stop. It was the very beautiful girl with brown eyes and jet black hair holding him in place.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"..."
He couldn't answer. His tongue was stolen by a cat.
Then, he rubbed his eye. He is unsure whether this is the reality or if he's still in a dream.
Thank you sa pagbabasa. <3
