Setting my stuffs was very tiring yet its so fun, maybe its because I’m at home and my parents are not coming home since they’re both busy working at the other place.

After cleaning the house for three hours, I sat at the sofa and started to doze off.

I woke up feeling so hungry and realized that I lose track of the time. The fridge is empty so I took a quick bath and decided to go to a nearby convenience store.

While walking at the neighborhood, I saw the streets where I used to run and play. The park where I feared heights because of accidentally falling at the slide and hurting myself.

It took me 10 minutes to arrive at the store, I entered it and bought foods and personal goods that I’ll be needing in my everyday life. This is a new convenience store in our area so it really lessens my problem when buying foods. After leaving the store, I almost dropped the goods that I held in my arms after seeing a Manga & Game store across the street.

“A jackpot!”, I shouted to myself.

I quickly crossed the street and entered the Manga & Game store. The bookshelves were full of different stuffs like: mangas, game consoles & game cd’s. I went to the last section were there’s a label saying “Limited Game CDs” thinking that maybe there’s a chance of finding the new game that I really waited for.

I saw the game and I’m really happy because I thought that fate has prepared that game for me.

“For heavens sake! I’m glad that there’s still one game left!”, I shouted with pure joy.

As I’m reaching for the game, another hand reached out for it resulting to our hands being entangled at the Game CD. It was a girl… I froze at the moment while looking at her. I think she’s at the same age as me. She has a medium size hair, maybe around the shoulders and she looks so adorable in that outfit. Before I could open my mouth, she broke the awkward silence and nervously talked at me.

“Oh my, I’m really sorry! You may take it if you want.”, said by the girl while making her quick escape.

I reached out my hand thinking that I’d give her the game but she already leaved the store. I was shock for an entire second out there, I think I felt something weird. It’s not the disease but it was different, it’s really strange. Maybe it’s because of her very cute clothes and good scent.

After the encounter, I bought the game and a few volumes of manga and heads home. I played for the entire night and didn’t realized that I fell asleep.

“Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!”

The loud phone call in my phone waked me up in the morning.

“Ohh, it’s a call from my mom”, I said while yawning.

I looked at the time and suddenly noticed that today is Monday and my first day at school.

“Shit! I’ll be late! I need to run now.”

I quickly changed my clothes and ride my bicycle to death to school. I arrived 5 minutes before I was late.

I walked through the hallway and scanned each classroom labels to where my class is.

“Classroom 3-B, Classroom 3-B, where is it? I think I’ll be late right now, but if I run, then someone could see me.”

“Ogawa-kun right? It seems that you’re the new student at my class.”

What does she say? My teacher? I’m glad I met her right now.

“At my class? So, you’re saying that you’re my new teacher this year?”

“Yes, I’ll be your teacher, now come follow me and we’ll go to the classroom now.”

While walking she told me her name and also asked for my name. Her name was Sakurai Yuko. We entered the classroom and saw my new classmates for this year.

“Good morning everyone, as you can see Ogawa-kun will be your new classmate.” With that remark, she gave me a look of “go introduce yourself”.

“Uhm.. Hello everyone, good morning. Uhm, please take care of me.”

As I was finishing my sentence, a familiar voice yelled at me. It was Yumi-chan, my childhood friend. She leaves a few blocks away from the house where I live when I was a kid.

“Hideki-kun!!! How have you been!” she shouted while smiling like a child.

Everyone’s face tells that their reaction was wondering what kind of relationship I had with Yumi-chan.

“Yumi-chan, please be quiet! You may talk to him later.” said by our teacher. “Ogawa-kun, your seat is at that spot.”, while pointing her hand at the back part of the room.

I sat and started to fix my things when my notebook suddenly falls near my seatmate at my right side. My classmate reached for it and hand it on me.

“Thank yo… Whatttttt?! It’s you from the game store right?”, I suddenly let my voice yelled and be heard in the room.

“Are you all right back there Ogawa-kun?”, said by our teacher.

I apologized and goes back to the situation.

So, here’s the thing happening right now. The cute girl that I met by fate is my classmate right now and she’s my seatmate. How cool is that?

“Uhm, hello. My name is Ogawa Hideki and I’ll be your seatmate, please take care of me.” I greeted while smiling awkwardly.

“…”

Ohh, no response huh. I think I’m rejected.

“Shimamoto Michiko… that’s my name, please also take care of me.”, she replied as if she’s forced to answer.

The subjects quickly passed by and its lunch break. Its kinda hard making friends since its my first day so I went to the cafeteria, bought my food and sat at the table for four persons. While eating, I saw a classmate of mine walking towards me. He looks like he’ll bully me.

“Yo!”, greeted by my classmate.

“Oh hi”

“Would you mind if I sit and eat here with you?”

“It’s okay”, I nervously replied.

“I’m Ige Kazuki, you can call me Kazuki. I hope we can be friends.”

I didn’t expect him to be a good person.

“Oi, I’m not a bad person you know.”, he said while smiling.

Crap, he heard my brain.

“I’m Ogawa Hideki, I hope we can be friends as well, Kazuki-ku…”

As I was finishing my greeting, someone slapped my back and its Yumi-chan.

“Its been a long time, Hideki-kun! Can I sit here?”, asked by Yumi-chan while preparing her food at the table.

“You shouldn’t bother asking me you know.”, I replied monotonously.

“I know right? Now you have a lot to tell me okay?”, she said while leaning her breast towards my shoulders.

I quickly evade nervously.

“Woah, are you okay there?”, asked by Kazuki-kun.

“Yes, I am. I’m just surprised haha”, I replied.

“Hmmmp… You can tell me if you hate me you know?”, Yumi said while pouting.

“Now, now, its not like that, we should just eat.”

While eating I saw Shimamoto eating by herself. Our eyes suddenly met but she averted it as if she’s disgusted by me.

“Oi, Hideki-kun? So Shimamoto-chan is your type huh?”, teased by Kazuki-kun.

“No it’s not like that.”

“You know, Shimamoto is really quiet at the room, she rarely talks to any boys but she talked normally to the girls.”, said by Yumi-chan.

“Yup! I’m thinking maybe she hates me.”, replied by Kazuki-kun.

So she’s really a quiet type. She’ll be a perfect seatmate for the suppressing of my disease. I quickly smirk while gathering my thoughts when Kazuki and Yumi suddenly looks at me weirdly.

“Scaryyyyy”, said by Yumi-chan.

“What were you thinking back there huh?”, quickly teased by Kazuki-kun.

“Its nothing you know.”

The lunch break was done and we head back to the classroom. I’m glad that Yumi-chan was my classmate and Kazuki-kun approached me. I thought I’ll be a total loner but why is Shimamoto not talking to guys? Is that her reason why she left last night?

In our last subject, I saw Shimamoto working and studying quietly.

Whenever I see her, it brings a very nostalgic feeling of what happened at the game store. The strange feeling that is very unique. Maybe she won’t be friendly to me because she’s angry of taking her game.

“Shimamoto-san” I called her with a whisper.

“What?”, she replied while looking at me.

I’m glad she looked at me.

“You know I can lend you the game you wanted to play. Do you want to borrow it? I mean it’s okay for me you know.”, I replied while smiling with confidence.

“Is it okay? You’ve just bought it freshly from the store last night, I know you’ll be wanting to go home now and finish it.”, she said while slightly averting her eyes.

“No its okay, I just finished it last night you know.”

When she heard that, she looked at me again as if she’s amazed by how I quickly finished the game. In the hospital that I was in, practicing games to suppress the disease becomes my habit that’s why I can easily finish a game in a night.

“Is it really okay? I mean you’re very fast at playing even though it’s a new game.”, she replied nervously.

“Yep, its okay. I’ll be sure to bring it tomorrow.”, it seems that my reply lacks because she still looks at me like waiting for something. “You know finishing it is very fast for me because I love the new voice actress of the main character haha”

“Ohh, it must be a very good game. Thank you again Ogawa-kun! I thought I’ll never be able to fell the game because you’ve bought it.”, she said.

“Can I ask you a question?”

“What is it?”

“Why did you run last night?”, I asked while slightly scratching my head.

“Oh, its nothing.”, she replied lifelessly as if I asked her a question that is very sensitive.

She turned her head at the teacher and hours passed by when the whole class is done.

The school was done and we didn’t get the chance to talk again. I thought it’s because of the question that I asked about last night. Maybes she doesn’t want me to see her at that outfit, or maybe it’s her secret that she’s a gamer.

I really don’t understand girls at all.
