Hijiri stared at the screen thoughtfully and moved his mouse over the game's download link.
A window popped up, asking him to confirm the prerequisites needed to play the game.

His brows slightly creased as he stared at the text. He had the last two, but...
He tapped his chin and hummed, looking at the first bullet.
/I don't have a NeUni-VR./
That headset had been released recently, so it was likely pricey while it was riding the game's hype. Hijiri frowned and slowly fixed his eyes on his current headset - the NeUni's predecessor, N-Uro.
/
It's in the same line. They should be compatible, right?/
As someone who loved to study and tinker with technology, he was aware that some devices were developed off old model data.
The N-Uro was still a fairly recent release, so its components wouldn't fall far behind its new cousin. It shouldn't be a huge problem.
With that in mind, he'd already have all the requirements needed to play.
/
Let's give it a shot./
He started to assemble.
{ Download complete, installing game. }
The game was fairly large - even larger than Fallen Gate. It was designed to be an open-world platform, with an impressive map size.
Hijiri had to wait some time, but he kept himself occupied by reading the info on the job classes they have.
/Will the others be playing this, too?/ he wondered, staring at the code he had received.
/
Oh. Is this some special event reward for maxing out?/ Maybe this was something given to all the players on Fallen?
He checked with Masaru, who promptly replied with a [¯\_(ツ)_/¯].
Masaru [Ferret]: [Nope. Not everyone gets them, Hijiri-kun. I thought so at first, but Tetsu and the others didn't. Maybe they just give them out randomly?]
"Huh..."
He put the thought aside for now and went back to researching.
There wasn't much information on the game website yet, so he'd have to learn about his character's specialties as he played.
The next question would be-
{ Game has finished installing. Welcome to Savior's Land! }
{ To begin your journey, click the button below. }
"Which class should I choose?"
After an hour, he reviewed his handiwork over crossed arms.
Throughout his run as an MMORPG player, Hijiri had always carried heavily-armored characters.
He was feeling a little adventurous this time.
The character that stood on the revolving platform on the screen was decked in magician's robes. A small sigil shone subtly under one of his eyes, matching their color.
The character slightly resembled his previous character's appearance. His Fallen Gate avatar, Stellio, was also a magic class. However, their similarities end there.
Stellio was a hard-hitting battle mage. More than half his equipment was armor and trimmed in crimson. In place of a staff, he wielded an oversized mace that became his identifying trademark on PVP and war maps.
Compared to him, his new avatar Cirro wore lighter clothing.
His character type was garbed in a magician's robes - a combination of leather and cloth layers from top to bottom. His current build was leaner than his previous profiles, and looked less-than-intimidating.
The kind that looked exactly like
battlefield fodder. Hijiri couldn't help but chuckle.
/
A little lacking in the armor department, but.../
"We'll manage," he nodded and clicked the affirmation button.
{ Congratulations, player -Cirro- ! Your character creation was successful. Would you like to log into the game now? }
Hijiri heaved a deep breath.
{ Yes. }
The screen was replaced with a simple black screen.
{ Please initialize your VR gear. }
Hijiri donned the N-Uro headset and hoped for the best. He breathed a sigh of relief when the system cleared.
/
Alright! It does work with this game!/
{ Enter Alpha Code. }

A single chime signaled the acceptance of his code, and the black screen slowly transitioned to a log-in screen.
{ Ready to dive. }

Cirro opened his eyes to a lush pasture. He could feel the breeze brush against his skin. "W-woah."
Savior's Land had certainly outdone Fallen Gate by graphics alone. It looked too real to even be called a game. He idly scrolled through the welcome message on his status screen and dismissed it. He'll be checking those in full later on. For now..
"Let's explore."
{ Welcome, player -Cirro- ! }
