The First (Live) Tribe Leaders Conference Meeting

Webkom Tribe Leaders Conference is a meeting of Webkom admins together with several tribe leaders and tribe representatives in order to discuss each Tribe Status (Rules & Regulations), Tribe On-Going Activities and future plans to further grow their respective tribes. TLC is planned to be held on a quarterly basis per year and will stream live on Webkom Alliance Page/s. TBA

Kidding aside...

There was a time when people would dream. Those dreams remain unfulfilled most of the time but that does not stop us from dreaming. And even though this is still anecdotal in nature, let me just summarize the experience of the said "Tribe Leaders Conference".

The Webkom Tribe Leaders Conference was held on August 28, 2021. It was evening in the Philippines, eight to be exact. We (webkom admins) have notified each tribes prior to the conference so that we can prepare how many seats will be rented on the banquet hall. Our catering services came late. Our production staff never came. Our make up artists were lazy and only one Tribe Leader managed to choose the proper attire. Anyways...

The Tribe Leaders arrived at the conference armed with deadly looks and gears. There was one among them who brought his keyboard warriors alongside with a promise of shout out mentions plus greetings, and one even had her loyal fan based follow her, armed with deadly lasers and rants.

The first tribe leader of the Hawk Tribe arrived, seated firmly on her seat, while giving off her cold menacing looks to other tribe leaders arriving late. The wisest among the leaders, the Owl Tribe also made his strong presence known staring back at her without an intent of backing off. The mafia boss of the Python tribe, the seductive mother of the Adarna Tribe, the elusive yet cunning Rabbit Tribe president, the stunning allure of the Wildcat Tribe vice leader, and lastly, the sick plague brought by the Wolf Tribe's young and powerful leader, all arrived with a few of the tribe leader missing in action. They must have felt it was needed not to come for the sake of their tribe's survival on the upcoming council.

War was inevitable, but they were all silenced by the mightiest when she arrived at the scene, the Webkom Alliance President, armed with her deadly BAN HAMMER.

She had a chilly atmosphere. Her eyes behind those majestic glasses she's wearing were literally not moving. It was only just her avatar, her mirror image present. It does not react to any intimidating auras of the Tribe Leaders no their taunts nor armies nor followers. Disaster was avoided. War between tribes was postponed due to her powerful BAN HAMMER. They all know one wrong move will send them to unimaginable suffering and peace.

It was finally time for the council to start. The magical pixie that had been casting his shield relentlessly to protect the citizens from harm ran out of mana. It was the hosts time to enter and mediate on the several powerful leaders present. It was a do or die situation.

And thus the curtain was lifted. The national anthem was sung, lifting the spirits and calming the minds of everyone present.

• This will bring together loyal members with similar interests. It is also for the mentorship of members who are just starting out.

What are the happenings inside a tribe?

• Each tribe has its own activities and projects.

• Each tribe has its own process of accepting members.

How many tribes can I be a member of?

• Strictly ONE tribe for ONE member but we encourage inter-tribe collaboration through "guesting" on other tribes but must have consent from tribe leaders or officers of the aforementioned tribes.

A Summary of Webkom Alliance Tribes

Owl

Although they started out as a Tribe catering for webkom's novel writers, they are more than that today. Its highly recommended for starters on the industry of story telling to know the backbone of a story. They focus on world building, to magical systems, to character background, plot holes, and many different elements that makes up a story. They are a very active group and have lots of activities outside of webkom too, in order to enhance one's skills in writing. Their monthly activities includes one such as writing short stories where they compile and publish them as anthologies. They are strict, abides by the rules and DO note that they also accept and have minor members so always be tactful when inside or is planning to join the tribe.

Hawk

Currently re-shuffling members due to lack of interaction between the members and activities. It is made for web comic creators and traditional comics artists. No particular genre planned as of date. The officers and current members have chill vibes and they have a relaxed atmosphere. Future plans are in the works in reviving the tribe.

Wolf

Young, old aspiring Shonen genre webcomic and traditional comics creators accepting members who must have a published series on webkom. If there is no published series, a recommendation is needed from the current existing tribe members. They are currently reforming their tribe and its members. Rules and regulations will be set eventually. They have an on going activity "Artbook" planned to be release on the upcoming months. They are composed of officers and members that are energetic, youthful and full of invigorating amore.

Python

Group for web comic, traditional comics, and writers. A mixture of action, fantasy, slice of life, comedy, delinquent and horror genres. You are required to have an artwork to be submitted if you do not have a published series. Must have a recommendation from existing tribe members. They have many activities and are a very accommodating group of people. Be advised, they bite.

Wildcats

Comic artists, illustrators, concept artists, anything and everything that has to do with drawing on a canvass digitally or traditionally are welcome. Most have professional backgrounds and their line of work (present employment) are mostly art related. They have multiple commissioned artists working on various projects. They have monthly refresher activities in order to enhance or just relax their skills and passion. It is relatively unknown to all and is in need of attention (from tribe vice leader's POV).

Adarna

In respect to our own native folklore about the Adarna bird, this tribe is unique on its own named after it. They are creatures of known voice acting talents. They accept members on a screening process. You would need to submit at least a minute of your voice recording sample. The acceptance criteria cannot be publicized to avoid turning people to stones. They have prominent voice actor members who are already known in the voice acting industry. They are sweet, lovable, and cuddly creatures.

Rabbit

NSFW. 18+ members only. Focus? Anatomy. They draw their characters without clothes in order to draw clothes on top of them to take them off. Its For Academic Purposes only. They have a strict rule of no censorship allowed. The members multiply fast. BEWARE !!!

Tick

Tick or garapata (in tagalog) is a tribe created to suck blood from webkom artists. Its a tribe where publishers scheme, talk about business, copyrights, licensing, commissions and the likes we only see on documentaries. No current details as of yet are revealed in the public as to avoid intellectual property violations. They still remain a mystery.

Coming Soon / Hiatus / Inactive Tribes

Crocodile

A fellow group or tribe with visual artists as core members. Currently in active and have not attended the conference. Will update on our official Facebook Page for more updates with regard to the current tribe in-activity.

Lion

Created for video animators, producers and editors. Currently in process of dissolving. Will update once done re-constructing the aforementioned group. Renaming the tribe and stripping it of its rights are inevitable.

Gapis

Derived from the root word industrious (in tagalog), DO NOT JOIN THIS TRIBE !!! They have 5 official members currently seeking asylum for their inactivity. All members suffer from muscle fatigue, vitamin deficiency and lack of enthusiasm. The only tribe in webkom immune to the almighty BAN HAMMER for it holds the secret. Do not make mistakes or go down the path unworthy of being artist. For if you do, they will deploy their agency to restore the world in balance.
